The SST Steam Head Version 2

Our upgraded standard steam head will now work with heavier and more contoured packaging, such as glass tinctures, bottles, jars, and cans. It features a servo-actuated stopper which will catch your sleeved containers halfway through to give them an extra blast of heat for better results. This gives heavier containers more time to sleeve without bubbles or wrinkles and allows larger and more complex sleeves and containers to be fully sleeved within a second.

You can now combine multiple products into one sleeve for duo-packs and multi-packs, as well as shrink deep grooves and curves with ease. The motorized system even has “ready-to-go” lights indicating when you should catch and insert your next container. Nine sizes of heads are available that are compatible with Earthwise Packaging solutions and third-party packaging.

The Portable Shrink Sleeve Label Applicator

The SST Shrink Sleeve Machine is a compact and portable alternative to large, room-sized steam tunnels typically used for shrink-sleeve labeling. With a footprint of only 4 square feet for operation and a table space requirement of 2 square feet, the SST offers efficiency without occupying much space. It provides performance comparable to automatic industrial sleeving machines without the bulk. The SST allows for easy container sleeving in just one second by dropping them down the steam-head tunnel. It is compatible with shrink-sleeve bands, partial, and full-body labels. The SST requires no recalibration – simply turn it on and start sleeving.

Each steam head contains grooves that rotate containers evenly when applying steam and heat. Our Version 2 range starts with a diameter of one-half inch, increasing in quarter-inch increments up to two and one-half inches. The servo can catch most containers before they drop through, giving them another second to achieve an even application – even for heavier containers!

SST Steam Heads are designed for compatibility with our shrink sleeve machine, allowing users to easily switch between various container sizes without disruption. The steam head itself works as a compact and swift steam tunnel for containers with shrink sleeves, ensuring complete sleeve application. Inside the steam head are grooves that rotate containers to achieve even heat and steam distribution. This innovation surpasses the sluggish conveyor belt style “portable” shrink sleeve tunnels and heat guns.

The steam heads have also been engineered such that any excess moisture is captured and funneled back into the water reservoir, stopping it from dripping out of the head and helping you conserve more water while minimizing refills.

Choosing which size steam head you want will ultimately depend on the diameter of the widest part of the container.
